Public Informational Meeting on
City of Cranston’s CDBG-HUD Grant
The Department of Community Development announces that it will hold a public meeting to discuss its recently approved Annual Action Plan for FY 2026-2027. The public is invited to discuss the projects supported and/or wholly funded with our Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) appropriation in the amount of $1,091,152 awarded by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The public is invited to learn about our programs and ask questions about regulations, eligibility, and services available. They can also suggest future projects and programs that they feel would qualify for funding and benefit the citizens of Cranston during FY 2027-2028. Eligible activities must meet applicable CDBG requirements and primarily benefit low- and moderate-income people or address another eligible national objective. Examples may include public facilities, housing, infrastructure, public services, and economic development activities.
