New Mattress Disposal Options for Cranston Residents

Mattress Disposal Information for City of Cranston Residents: Effective 6/1/2020

EFFECTIVE 6/1/2020 Cranston Residents now have 3 different options to dispose of mattresses:

 

1) There is a Mattress Recycler in Rhode Island that accepts mattresses at no charge from R.I. Residents. Please call the phone number listed below to find out if an appointment is needed before going.

Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Saturdays - 10 a.m. - NOON

2) By appointment only, Cranston Residents can bring mattresses to the Public Works Garage located at 929 Phenix Ave. To schedule an appointment you must call 780-3174 prior to bringing any mattresses for disposal. The disposal of mattresses will only be scheduled for Thursdays, between the hours of 7:30 A.M -11:30 A.M. This is a free drop off and residents must be able to place the mattresses in the designated Pod in the assigned area. This option is limited to 4 mattresses/box spring per drop off, twice a year.


3) Cranston residents can call Waste Management for Premium Curbside Service at 1-800-972-4545 to schedule an appointment. There is a $25.00 charge per mattress/box spring for curbside service.
