ENGINEERING DIVISION
Engineering Directory
The Engineering Division is located at 1090 Cranston Street, formerly the Hamilton Building. The Division is responsible for the following:
(a) Engineering and project management of all capital improvements projects including street improvements, bridges, utilities, drains, and public buildings.
(b) Reviews subdivision and site development plans.
(c) Serves as the repository for public inspection during business hours, of all surveys, maps, plate, plans, designs and sketches relating to the location and character of streets, bridges, utilities, water mains, hydrants and other buildings, structures.
(d) Responsible for all survey work of city owned properties and right of ways. Maintains and stores all of this survey information.
(e) Includes the City Tree Warden who is responsible for addressing issues and concerns regarding trees on City right of ways. Such issues are tree removals, tree pruning and interference with utilities and/or infrastructure.
(f) Oversite of the street paving project and maintains a data base of all street conditions.
(g) Oversite of the sidewalk reimbursement project.
