Below you will find general directions to the City of Cranston. Please keep in mind that, depending on your exact destination within the city, these directions may need to be altered slightly. Nevertheless, we hope these directions will be of assistance to you in finding the routes into the city.
From the North:
Take Interstate 95 South to exit 22C, which puts you on Route 10. Stay on Route 10 and exit at any point to access most of the eastern part of Cranston. Or take the Route 6 exit from Route 10 to take you to the western end of the city.
From the East (Eastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod):
Interstate 195 West leads you into Rhode Island and the Capital City of Providence, where it feeds into Interstate 95 North and South. Take Interstate 95 going South to exit 14, for Route 37 West. Route 37 services many of the major thoroughfares in Cranston.
From the West (Hartford):
Travel east on Route 6. Continue on this road through the rural towns of eastern Connecticut and western Rhode Island. To reach the western half of Cranston, take Interstate 295 going south, and exit immediately at the Plainfield Pike (Route 14) exit. To reach the eastern half of Cranston, stay on Route 6 until you reach the Providence metropolitan area. Merge onto Route 10 South, and all exits on Route 10 will take you into Cranston.
From the South (New York City):
Take Interstate 95 North through Connecticut and into Rhode Island. Take exit 14 (Route 37 West). Route 37 services many of the major thoroughfares in Cranston.
