RIDOT will be performing an accelerated bridge slide over Pontiac Avenue at Rt. 37 in Cranston from Friday, November 11th at 8:00 p.m. to November 14th at 6:00 a.m. and Friday, November 18th at 8:00 pm. to November 21st at 6:00 a.m.
This will require changes to the traffic patterns on Pontiac Avenue and on Rt. 37 for those weekends. In addition, there will be detours for I-95 southbound to Rt. 37 eastbound and westbound from November 11th through November 14th. Traffic along Rt. 37 eastbound and westbound will be maintained both weekends.
Attached are materials for businesses, residents and motorists that should be used during the closure period including the press release that outlines the closure dates and explains the traffic patterns for motorists to use. Two detour maps are attached that show the changed traffic patterns.
