Chris Herren ~ Prevention Starts with All 1/8 at 6 PM

The Cranston Police Department is proud to announce an upcoming event we are hosting in partnership with CCAP's Substance Abuse Task Force. On January 8, 2020, at 6:00 PM, we will welcome former Boston Celtics player Chris Herren to Cranston East High School for a unique opportunity for our community to come together and engage in conversation on wellness and educate themselves on the disease of addiction. It is our and Chris' hope that strength will be found in the struggle and communities will come TOGETHER to address the issue of substance use disorder, advocate for effective treatment and embrace the power of recovery. ALL RESIDENTS OF CRANSTON ARE INVITED!

Chris' appearance is sponsored by the State Opioid Response Grant (SOR) given through RI Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals and the SPC Regional Prevention Coalition. This grant was given to the Cranston Police Department and we are partnering with the Cranston Substance Abuse Task. Together we are working on educating and supporting the City of Cranston during this opioid crisis. Please consider joining us on January 8th!!
